Affordable Housing Solutions

Affordable housing in the Orlando area has been a significant problem for the past few years. Many home buyers from out of state have experienced sticker shock. Four out of ten workers cannot afford to live in Orlando due to rising house prices. Some solutions are being considered to help this issue such as, levying an extra fee for luxury homes setting affordable housing quotas in neighborhoods or require new subdivision or new condo to include a percentage of affordable housing. ALso these new fees would be used to build affordable housing.
