Vacation Homes Designed for the Disabled

There are 55 to 60 million disabled Americans that have money and propesity to travel according to the Director of Corporate Affairs for Society for Accessible Travel & Hospitality. And more will be growing as the population ages.

John Fazzani with Bountiful Lands, a Lake Wales based builder, is filling the need by building detached vacation homes designed for the disabled. They will be building within few months and the location will be south of Highway 192 in Polk County.

The interiors will contain special lift for pools, larger bathrooms, and counters designed for wheelchairs to name a few. These homes can be further customized for wheel chair lift systems for stair cases, and wall texture for navigation of visually impaired. All designed are within ADA compliance. The homes are expected to sell from $395,000 to $489,000.
