Winter Park's West Side; is it the next SODO?

If you live in or like to visit Winter Park, Florida you are in for a real treat.  Now that the economy is picking back up Winter Park is thriving, and people love Winter Park for its Park Avenue, tree lined brick paved streets, and cultural activities.  The entire west side of Winter Park along 17-92 and Lee Road will be transformed in years to come with additional restaurants, shops, and mixed use project called Ravaudage.


























  • Ravaudage which means "mending" in French has been 10 years in the making.  Developed by Dan Bellows this 73 acres located in Winter Park and Maitland will offer restaurants, big box store, shopping, 489 residential units, office space, retail, hotel and a proposed second Maitland Sunrail stop.  This Maitland stop will offer commuters access to Enzian Theater and Winter Park Village. This project will be 3x the size of Winter Park Village.  Right now the first occupant to this development is Millers Ale House which opened recently.
  • Other Notable Additions to Winter Park West Side.
    • The Alfond Inn at Rollins opening August of 2013 in the heart of Winter Park.
    • Wawa this growing convenience store and gas station chain is new to Central Florida and expected to open October 2013.
    • Marlows Tavern across from newly update Publix off Orlando Avenue will be opening November 2013.
    • Kensington Place a senior apartment project located behind Winter Park Village is opening January 2014.
    • Chase Bank (where former Borders Bookstore) opening in Winter Park Village.
    • TD Bank opening up on the corner of Webster and 17-92 which currently is a vacant lot.
    • Heritage Park corporate office opening July 2013 where the old drivers license location.
    • Carmel Cafe and Wine Bar located off 17-92 near Winter Park Village opening October 2013.
    • Lakeside Winter Park at the corner of Morse and 17-92 will be building 36,000 square feet incorporating retail, restaurant and banks.
