Orlando Housing Market

The number of homes listed for sale by Realtors in the Orlando area grew again in February, to a record high of 22,055, according to a report today by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association.

That was up 789 for the month and represented a more than 15 month supply at the recent sales pace, according to the preliminary estimate.

The median price was $255,000, up 6.2 percent from the same month a year ago, but the number of homes sold fell by nearly 39 percent to 1,386, more confirmation that the sluggish existing home sales market locally is still searching for a bottom. Courtesy Orlando Sentinel 3/12/07.
